Planbody Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Solople ("Solople," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use Planbody, including any related mobile applications, websites, beta builds, AI-assisted features, upload tools, nutrition tracking tools, body-composition tracking tools, reports, credits, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Planbody. It does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, identity providers, analytics providers, AI providers, cloud providers, or other services that we do not control. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies.

Planbody may be provided as a beta or TestFlight build. Apple may collect crash logs, usage information, screenshots, and tester feedback through TestFlight according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

3. Information We May Collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use, the platform you use, and whether the Service is in beta, production, free, or paid mode.

Account and Authentication Information

We may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • User ID
  • Profile image
  • Authentication provider identifiers
  • Sign-in method, session information, and account status

This may come from Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Supabase Auth, or other authentication providers.

Health, Fitness, Nutrition, and Body-Composition Information

If you use related features, we may collect information you submit, upload, confirm, or generate, including:

  • Height, weight, age range or date-related profile inputs, sex-related profile inputs, activity level, goals, preferences, and training context
  • Nutrition settings, calorie targets, macro targets, and dietary preferences
  • Meal entries, food names, calories, macronutrients, notes, dates, favorites, and meal history
  • Menu photos, meal photos, image notes, and AI extraction results
  • Body-composition scan data, including InBody-style metrics, scan dates, body weight, body fat, muscle mass, body fat percentage, BMI, basal metabolic rate, visceral fat, body water, segmental values, and related measurements
  • Uploaded scan reports, screenshots, photos, files, extracted text, reviewed drafts, and correction history
  • Reports, interpretations, trend summaries, AI-generated explanations, and related metadata

This information can be sensitive. Planbody is not a medical service, but the information may relate to health, fitness, body composition, diet, or wellness. You should only submit information that you are comfortable processing through the Service.

AI and Automated Processing Information

When you use AI-assisted or automated features, we may process:

  • Prompts, instructions, files, images, notes, scan data, meal data, and menu data you provide
  • Extracted structured data
  • AI-generated outputs
  • Validation results, error messages, and processing metadata
  • Usage records needed to reserve, charge, commit, refund, or audit AI credits

We may send relevant content to AI service providers, such as Google Gemini or similar providers, only as reasonably necessary to provide AI-assisted features, enforce limits, secure the Service, or troubleshoot issues.

Payment, Credit, and Transaction Information

If paid features, subscriptions, purchases, trials, or credits are offered, we may collect:

  • Credit balance and ledger entries
  • Purchase status, plan, price, currency, transaction ID, customer ID, payment processor ID, refund status, and invoice metadata
  • App store or payment processor purchase metadata

We do not intentionally collect or store full credit card numbers. Payment details are handled by third-party payment processors or app stores, such as Apple or Paddle, when applicable.

Technical, Device, Log, and Security Information

We may collect:

  • IP address
  • Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, locale, timezone, and approximate region
  • Request logs, crash logs, performance logs, diagnostic data, feature usage events, and error reports
  • Security events, abuse signals, fraud-prevention data, rate-limit data, and audit logs
  • Cookies or similar technologies on web properties, where applicable

Communications

If you contact us, we may collect your email address, message content, attachments, metadata, and any information needed to respond, investigate, or keep records.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts
  • Store, display, edit, and sync user data
  • Process scans, meals, uploads, reports, and goals
  • Provide AI-assisted extraction, interpretation, validation, and review features
  • Calculate estimates, trends, summaries, and progress indicators
  • Manage credits, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, trials, and billing records
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, scraping, security incidents, policy violations, and unauthorized access
  • Debug errors, handle support requests, and respond to user communications
  • Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve reliability and product quality
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, protect rights, and respond to lawful requests

We do not use health, body-composition, meal, or scan information to target third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal Bases

Where a legal basis is required, we process information based on one or more of the following:

  • Your consent
  • Performance of a contract with you
  • Our legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and support
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Protection of rights, safety, and integrity of users, Solople, or others

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, but doing so may limit or disable some features.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Cloud hosting, database, storage, authentication, security, and infrastructure providers
  • AI service providers used to process prompts, images, scans, meals, menus, or reports
  • Analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, and monitoring providers
  • Payment processors, app stores, and billing providers
  • Email, support, and communication providers
  • Professional advisors, legal counsel, auditors, or insurers
  • Government, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or others when required or permitted by law
  • Successors or counterparties in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or service transfer
  • Other parties with your consent or direction

We require service providers to process information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, or contractual obligations where applicable.

7. Third-Party Providers and Platforms

The Service may use or interact with third-party services such as:

  • Apple, including Apple Sign-In, TestFlight, App Store, in-app purchase, crash reports, and app review systems
  • Google, including Google Sign-In and AI services such as Gemini
  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services
  • Paddle or other payment processors for web purchases, if applicable
  • PostHog or similar analytics tools, if enabled
  • Hosting, logging, monitoring, email, and infrastructure providers

Third-party services may collect and process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

8. International Processing

We may process, store, and transfer information in countries other than your country of residence, including the Republic of Korea, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Typical retention periods may include:

  • Account information: while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion or inactivity
  • Meal, scan, goal, report, and profile data: while your account is active, unless you delete it or request deletion
  • Uploaded files and AI processing records: while needed to provide features, troubleshoot, audit credits, or comply with security and legal needs
  • Support communications: as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and protect our rights
  • Billing, payment, tax, refund, and accounting records: as required by law, payment processor rules, tax rules, and fraud-prevention needs
  • Security logs, abuse records, and diagnostic logs: for a reasonable period needed for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and compliance
  • Backups: until they are overwritten or deleted according to backup cycles

After account deletion, we aim to delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, but complete deletion from backups, logs, legal records, payment records, fraud-prevention records, and provider systems may take longer or may not be possible where retention is legally or operationally required.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. These may include access controls, encryption in transit, limited service-role access, authentication controls, audit logs, and separation of server-side secrets from mobile apps.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, corrupted, or destroyed. You are responsible for protecting your account, device, and credentials.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request restriction or objection to certain processing
  • Request a portable copy of certain information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Close your account
  • Complain to a data protection authority

To make a request, contact kdevbrother@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or protection of others' rights.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children or anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact kdevbrother@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. Sensitive Information

Planbody may process information related to health, fitness, nutrition, body composition, photos, and goals. This information is processed to provide the Service and is not used to target third-party advertising.

You should not submit information that you do not want processed by the Service. You should not submit information about another person unless you have lawful authority to do so.

14. De-Identified and Aggregated Information

We may use de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information for analytics, product improvement, research, security, debugging, reporting, or business purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify information that has been properly de-identified, except as permitted by law to test safeguards or comply with legal obligations.

15. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Web versions of the Service or Solople websites may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, maintain sessions, improve performance, or analyze usage.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work if cookies or local storage are disabled.

16. Privacy Policy for App Stores

When required by app stores, we may provide app privacy disclosures, nutrition labels, data safety forms, or similar notices. Those disclosures are summaries and may not include every detail in this Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, this Privacy Policy controls to the maximum extent permitted by law, except where app store rules require otherwise.

You are responsible for reviewing this Privacy Policy and any app store disclosures before using the Service.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be effective when posted, unless a later effective date is stated.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law or where practical. Continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
